Bantha Gun

Model: Pook-Ieng EG-1 "Bantha Gun"
Type: Heavy shotgun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: bantha gun
Ammo: 2 (1 per barrel)
Cost: 3,100 (ammo: 100 for box of 25 shells)
Availability: 2, R
Range: 1-3/15/50
Damage: 7D (single barrel), 8D (both barrels)
Game Notes: Moderate Lifting roll must be made in order lift the EG-1 and another each round after that.

The term "Bantha Gun" is a generic name given to many massively large slug-throwers by hunters and poachers. Most hunters and poachers own one of these weapons (though they will deny it for legal purposes) for use against large creates such as rancors or wampas. The weapon itself is massively huge, nearly two full meters in length. Some bounty hunters have been known to use sawed off versions of the weapon on occassion when seeking a "wanted dead" bounty.

Sawed-Off Bantha Gun

Model: Modified Pook-Ieng EG-1 "Bantha Gun"
Type: Sawed-off heavy shotgun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: bantha gun
Ammo: 2 (1 per barrel)
Cost: 3,300 as modified (ammo: 100 for box of 25 shells)
Availability: 3, X
Range: 1-3/10/25
Damage: 8D (single barrel), 10D (both barrels)
Game Notes: Moderate Lifting roll must be made in order lift the EG-1 and another each round after that.

A sawed-off EG-1 is perhaps one of the most powerful hand-held weapons found anywhere in the galaxy. Some bounty hunters, pirates, and street thugs have been known to carry them, only the most insane of those actually using them. A stock EG-1 is strong enough to blast a large hole through someone, but the sawed-off version is powerful enough to blast a victim in bloody chunks.

Gand Slugthrower

Model: Gand slugthrower
Type: Automatic slugthrower
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms
Ammo: 50-shot clip
Cost: Not available to non-members of the Quinx order of the Gands
Availability: 3, X
Range: 5-50/100/150
Fire Rate: 5 or 25 for the full-action setting
Damage: 5D or 25D (see notes)
Game Notes: The operator of this slugthrower can opt to use a full action, using no other actions in the round, to do a riddling 25D damage.

This gun is made exclusicvely by the creme-de-la-creme brotherhood of Gands known only as the Quinx. It's astounding damage has tempted more than one bounty hunter and pirate who studies gand lore. They found out that these guns are loaded about 99% of the time, and in the hands of a Gand about 90% of the time. Unfortunately, there have so far only been ten of these guns ever made, owned by the Guildmaster and nine of his most trusted subordinates. So good luck getting one.

Mini Gun

Model: Mestic Munitions HGG-1 "Mini Gun"
Type: Personal gatling gun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: mini-gun
Ammo: 40 (belt), 150 (back pack ammo container)
Cost: Mini Gun: 15,150 credits; Ammo: 40 round ammo belt: 175 credits, 150 round ammo container: 500 credits; Tripod: 150 credits
Availabilty: 4, R or X
Range: 3-25/65/150
Fire Rate: 3 (semi-auto)
Damage: 6D (semi-auto), 7D+1 (burst of 3 rounds), 8D+2 (burst of 6 rounds)
Game Notes: Mode Toggling: Switching to or from semi-auto or either of the full-auto modes counts as a free action.
Weight: When using, the character must make a Moderate Lifting roll each round in order to support the weight of the gun unless the mini gun is mounted on the proper tripod.
Bulkiness: Due to the extreme bulkiness of the HHG-1, there is a -1D penalty to Firearms when using it.

The HGG-1 (Heavy Gatling Gun), nicknamed the "Mini Gun" (this is an obvious oxymoron as the HGG-1 is the largest personal weapon manufactured by Mestic Munitions), is perhaps one of the most devastating personal weapons to date. A meter and a half in length and weighing much more than most other weapons, the HGG-1 has six barrels that rotate at a high velocity when the weapon is in operation. It is supported by a handle on the top with the trigger and a thumb operated mode toggle switch with a second handle that is usually placed near the middle section of the weapon on its left side (this can be moved to the right side for left handed users) and a thickly padded shoulder strap. The ammunition is fed in on a belt through the right rear end of the weapon, usually from a back pack ammunition container worn by the user.

The HGG-1 is the perfect heavy weapon to supplement any squad and can decimate most landspeeders, enemy troops, and even buildings in some cases. The Mini Gun can be mounted onto a specialized tripod (much like an E-Web) for security or prolonged fire from a stationary position and be continually fed ammunition as long as the operator (this is assuming that a second person come to help out the gunner) keeps respinning the ammo belts.

MP-5 Submachine Gun

Model: Mestic Munitions MP-5 Military/Police Submachine Gun
Type: Close-quarters special purpose submachine gun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: submachine gun
Ammo: 30
Cost: 1,200 credits (new only)
Availability: 4, R or X
Fire Rate: 3 (semi-auto)
Range: 50-100/300/500; with silencer: 25-75/200/350
Damage: 4D+1 (semi-auto), 5D+2 (3-shot automatic bursts); with silencer: 4D (semi-auto), 4D+2 (3-shot bursts)
Game Notes: Silencer: Very Difficult Perception roll to hear within 5 meters, Heroic within 10, impossible past 10 meters.

Designed for use by Imperial task forces, the Mestic Muntions MP-5 submachine gun is another fine addition to the already famed M-series of Mestic Munitions weapons. The weapon is light, durable, water-proof (perfect for use by Imperial Seatroopers), and reliable. The gun is almost immune to jamming, a common problem with most firearms. While not yet been adapted to service, the MP-5 is certainly a classic weapon already.

MP-5N Submachine Gun

Model: Mestic Munitions MP-5N Submachine Gun
Type: Close-quarters 9mm submachine gun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: submachine gun
Ammo: 30
Cost: 1,250 credits
Availability: 3, R
Fire Rate: 2 (semi-auto)
Range: 2-15/40/90

Game Notes: Silencer: Very Difficult Perception roll to hear within 5 meters, Heroic within 10, impossible past 10 meters.
Retractable Stock: +1D to Firearms if used for one round of aiming.

Mestic Munitions, after creating the widely successful MP-5 submachine gun, required a special upgraded version of the weapon. The resulting MP-5N submachine gun is practically identical to the MP-5, with the exception of a superior silencer that does not limit the range and power of the weapon.

The shotgun is the outlaw's slugthrower of choice. More powerful then most standard blaster rifles and will easily reduce their unfortunate targets into piles of bloody mush. Often times, the owner of the shotgun will wear an ammo belt for easy access to shells for reloading. For an additional 50 credits one can purchase a special back holster for the weapon.

Spec-8 Auto-Loader

A good comparison of blaster carbines in the slugthrower world is possibly the shotgun. Mestic Munitions' new Spec-8 model offers superior firepower in a compactable package. With a folding stock and fast reload time, the Spec-8 is becoming popular in the underworld where street gang-warfare is common in close quarters such as alleyways and streets. The Spec-8 is faster during reloads than your average shotgun due to an advanced spring-loaded cocking mechanism designed specifically for speed loading.

Spec-55 Over-Under

Model: Mestic Munitions Spec-55 Over-Under
Type: Heavy shotgun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: shotgun
Ammo: 2
Cost: 1,800 credits (ammo: 50 per box of 15 shells)
Availabilty: 2, R
Range: 3-10/35/85
Fire Rate: 2
Damage: 6D/5D/4D (single barrel), 7D/6D/5D (both barrels)

The Spec-55 is a based on the same concept as the Spec-8, but the design team took a much different approach when designing the Spec-55. The Spec-55 operates with a variation of the old double barrel concept, where two barrels are loaded simultaneously. The vast majority of all double barreled slugthrowers have the barrels aligned side-by-side, this is not the case with the Spec-55. The Spec-55 Over-Under got its name from its barrel arrangement, one over the other.

In order to acheive the upper hand over both the Imperial and Republic forces in the sector, the Palvar Defense Force needed a new type of weapon, more powerful than a blaster rifle and the same merciless firepower of a slugthrower.

Aarlis Nacirem, owner of Kashan Systems and head of the Palvar Defense Force, knew that the resources under his direct command were insufficient to produce the type of weapon he desired. Taking a new leap for Kashan Systems, Nacirem made a proposal to one of the galaxy's top firearms manufacturers, Mestic Munitions. Mestic agreed to codevelop such a weapon only if they would be given sole licensing rights and a contract to manufacture the completed weapons for the PDF. Knowing the importance of outgunning the Imperials and Rebels, Aarlis agreed.

Mestic and Kashan's top scientists worked day and night for nearly a year developing concepts, designing, and finally constructing prototypes of the weapon. The final finished product came to be known as the Type I Portable Rail Gun (PRG).

The PRG incorporates new technology into the firearm market. The PRG fires razor tipped armor piercing rounds via magnetic propulsion that effectively throws the round several times the speed of sound so effectively that the intended target is long dead before he hears the shot that killed him. The actual firing of the weapon is nearly silent as there is no internal explosion propelling the rounds as in other firearms.

The Type I PRG is a fairly large weapon, requiring a back pack battery or generator to supply power to the powerful electro magnets. It is 154 centi-meters in length (not counting the back pack and attachment cable) and comes painted in a flat dark grey. An advanced targeting scope is attached to the top left of the weapon and it can easily penetrate thin walls, brush, and other insignificant cover and display an accurate image of what may be attempting to hide under such cover. The PRG can easily penetrate anything that the scope can scan through.

The PRG was issued to only a handful of heavy weapons specialists in the PDF Army and is most often used for long ranged engagements.

Repeating Railgun

Model: Mestic Munitions' Type II PRG
Type: Automatic railgun
Scale: Character
Skill: Firearms: auto-railgun
Ammo: 100
Cost: 15,130 credits (ammo clips: 200)
Availabilty: 4, X
Range: 4-45/150/350
Fire Rate: 5
Damage: 7D
Game Notes: Once a hit is established, all following shots against nearby (1 meter) targets are one difficulty lower.
Silent Operation: Very Difficult Perception roll to hear within 5 meters, Heroic within 10, impossible past 10 meters.

The Type II PRG was designed at the orders of Mestic Munitions' owner as she demanded to have an automatic version of the weapon that could easily mow down an entire squad of heavily armored troopers. It was designed using the technology that Mestic and Kashan Technological Development (a cooperative company run by Kashan Industries and Kashan Systems) had developed for the Type I PRG that was issued in small numbers to a handful of PDF soldiers.

The Type II can fire 150% faster than the original Type I and retains many of the original design aspects as the Type I. The only physical difference is an enlarged ammunition clip which can hold twice as many rounds as that of the Type I.
