The site will be moved!
The Kes website will celebrate it's 10th anniversary in June. It was my intention that it would be done here at the same location which the site has been on all the time. Unfortunately, this will not happen.
The point is that Geocities is closing down later this year and Yahoo will not provide any space for free websites. Because of that, this site has to be moved to another location. I'm currently checking out other free web hosts in order to find a new home for the Kes Website and I hope to solve this problem as soon as possible.
It's my intention to find a free web host where it is possible to uphold the same high standard for this site as it has had for the last 10 years.
This site will be updated regularily with news about where and when the move will take place and when the site is moved, there will be a link from this site at Geocities to the new Kes Website.

According to the website imdb.com, Jennifer is credited as executive producer for her husband's new movie "Geek Mythology". But as it looks today she won't appear in it.

Crew List added
An attempt to make a Voyager crew list, including characters seen in the TV series as well as characters mentioned in the Voyager Pocket books can be found here.
Guestbook problems
The Guestbook is full! Obviously the space for it is limited. I will control if there's any way to make it function withouty having to delete old posts. Otherwise I must start deleting the oldest posts or close the guestbook. I'll see what I can come up with.

Updated timeline
The events in the episode "Echoes" has been placed between "Future's End" and "Warlord" in the timeline due to the fact that Kes and Neelix obviously still are together in the book. Therefore the suggestion in the book "Voyages Of Imagination" for the place in the timeline for this book are correct.

New name for the site!
After some time of thinking, I've decided to change the name of the site from The Kes Photo Gallery to the more striking and appropriate The Kes Website.
Why? Because the site has become more than just a photo gallery. It contents information about Kes and the actress Jennifer Lien, information about the Star Trek Voyager series, reviews, stories about Kes, timelines, quizzes and much more.
After considering names like "The Kes Tribute Site" or "The Kes and Star Trek Voyager Site" I decided to go for the most simple name, The Kes Website. Which is exactly what it is all about!
As for the Kes Photo Gallery, it still exists but now as a part of The Kes Website.

The Picture Gallery is going through a minor restauration. Some pictures of not so high quality will be replaced by better pictures. Recently my friend Meok, whose excellent Voyager site is worth a visit sent me some nice Kes pictures which have been included in the Gallery. More pictures will be updated and added during the coming months.
The Timeline has been reconstructed
The Timeline has been reconstructed after the release of the Star Trek noven encyclopedia "Voyages Of Imagination" by Jeff Ayers which must be regarded as the definite timeline for Star Trek TV-episodes and books. Some changes have been made to adapt the Timeline on this website after the timeline in the encyclopedia.
A slight change of style
The index site has been slightly changed. The blue text was a bit difficult to read so it's changed to a somewhat orange text instead.

The new link for downloading the Kes skin for Elite Force has been added to the Downloads site plus some updates to the links site.

A New Kes Story
After having problems for a long time to decide which direction a new Kes story should have I finally made up my mind and decided to write a sequel to "Coming Home".
This story which takes place some months after "Endgame"is about Kes having strange nightmares about her old friend Admiral Janeway. Can there be some message in those Strange Dreams?
Updated Keswinamp skin
The Keswinamp skin has been updated. The new skin is basically the same as the old one but is compatible for Winamp 5.09. This beautiful skin is a must for Kes fans and Winamp users an can be downloaded here
A Kes game to download
There's a game about Kes to download at: Star Trek Games.CZ
The game is called "Search For Kes". The game is
originally made in the Czech language but the game works in English if you
install it in a folder and click the set_english_lang file. There is also an
English readme file. As for starting the game, click the "Start" file.
Here's a setup and after that comes an intro which can be bypassed by pushing
the "enter" key on your keyboard. Then you're in.

I did find "Janet's Star Trek Voyager site", a site which I will recommend for those who hadn't visited it yet.
Kes's Birthday
Well, we should be celebrating Kes's birthday the 17th December because scientific studies have revealed 17th December as a possible birthday. On the other hand, she isn't born until 2171 so...
No, this is too complicated! :)

Voyager's end and the future of Kes
The year 2001 was not a good year for us Kes fans. Kes didn't show up in the final episode of Voyager, or any Voyager episode in the seventh season. No letter campaigns or any other attempts to persuade the arrogant and big-headed fools in charge of the Star Trek Empire helped.
Voyager also ended in a total confusion with the horrible episode "Endgame", leaving many fans angry and dissapointed. What a sad end for a series that started so good and could have been the best SF-series ever.
As for the character Kes we can only hope that the damage made to that character in crap episodes like "The Gift" and "Fury" can be corrected in upcoming Voyager books. Kes was too good to be shoved aside like a piece of garbage because of mistakes made by The Idiots In Charge of the Star Trek Empire. We want the real Kes back to Star Trek Voyager, no matter if it is in upcoming books, possible movies or fanfiction. We will not accept the way Kes was treated in crap episodes like "The Gift" and "Fury".
As we see it, this is not the end. This site will remain on the net for all to find the truth about was really happened to Kes and why actress Jennifer Lien was so brutally fired. The truth will be there for coming generations of Voyager fans who search for Kes.
We will continue to make updates to this site when we find some interesting news about Kes and Jennifer Lien (upcoming conventions and other stuff). Now when Voyager has ended it will be some reconstruction on this site. More information about Jennifer Lien and her other projects, maybe some sort of campaign for a return of the character Kes in upcoming Star Trek books and possible movies and so on.
It might seem futile to some of those who visits this site but we will keep the memory of Kes alive for coming generations even when Voyager has ended. This is not the end, only the end of the beginning.

Basic information about this site
So why so much fuzz about someone who isn’t in Star Trek Voyager anymore and what about this Lynx thing? There hasn’t been anything called Lynx in Star Trek Voyager ever.
Well, to make a short story out of it: It started with one of the persons responsible for this site who once started to write a story about a Maquis ship stranded on a rather undeveloped planet where it was caught in a conflict between two hostile nations. The Maquis ship was called the Lynx and had a crew with some really interesting characters. However, after seeing the first episodes of Voyager, this author became a Voyager "addict" and a Kes fan. When he heard about how Kes had been deleted from Voyager, he decided to write a story about her return to Voyager and, when doing that he put in this Maquis crew and also some rearranged parts of the original story.
In the end of 1998 some of us were really frustrated about the absence of Kes in Star Trek Voyager and the development of the show. So we decided to create a Kes page.
During the spring of 1999 the author of the "Coming Home"-story had got tired of trying to sell his story to Paramount and the company responsible for the Star Trek books (obviously it’s easier to break into Fort Knox than to take some creative ideas into the Star Trek Universe) and therefore decided to put it out on this website instead, maybe to some consolation for other frustrated Kes fans. A later attempt in 2000 to sell the story to Paramount didn't suceed either, nor did any attempts from other writers who tried to send in stories about a Kes come-back. The people in charge of Star Trek Voyager simply didn't want Kes back!
The site was recently re-named The Kes website since the site has become more than just a photo gallery. Therefore the change. The Kes Photo Gallery actually remains as a part of the website. The references to a mysterious Lynx Empire sounds more exciting than any other common name. And to be honest, we have come up with a solution how Kes can come back to Voyager and as long as the so called creative staff at Paramount doesn’t have any better ideas, our solution is the one that counts. After all, our story might be the right story while the "official" Voyager episodes might take place in another universe or........... (time for speculation)
Unfortunately, our efforts to bring back Kes to Voyager has failed. But we will continue to keep the legend of Kes alive.
