Delorean Day This is a historic date for me.  Mark it down.  July 3, 2000 -- The day I drove in a Delorean.   One of my dreams came true.  It was everything I thought it would be and more.  Thanks to all that made this possible.

And there it is: The Delorean in all of its glory.  Also pictured, Alyson Szymaszek, one of the people that made this possible.

Here I am pretending to drive the beauty.  Mr. Mian said I could drive it, but I declined because I didn't know how to drive a stick, so I didn't want to ruin the car.

But, Matt did know how to drive a stick so he jumped in there and drove it down the street.

Delorean Motor Company

--Model was named DMC-12 because it was made to rival the Porsche which at that time sold for $12,000. --9.200 made from the beginning of 1981 to the end of 1982. --Stainless steel exterior ( reason why it's left unpainted). --Gull-Wing Doors --Cars were manufactured in Northern Ireland. --V-6 Engine --Max Speed: 130 MPH --John Delorean was arrested for conspiracy of money laundering involving dirty money supposedly in an effort to keep his car company afloat in an elaborate government sting operation.

And after the drive, I was celebrating with 4 Mt. Dew's.  ( Kara doesn't drink Dew, she's just holding mine.)
