A Lot of Players with A Lot to Prove

The thing that truly makes the Turkey Bowl special are all of the different individuals that come together to make a special team. Sometimes, the individuals aren't so special, this year, there are going to be break out years for many athletes. Here's a short list:

  • Tim "Gloves" Trull: Perhaps the player with the most to prove. He had a horrid year last year. He set a Turkey Bowl record with 23 dropped passes. He blames this on things such as the gloves he wore with the grippy stuff, not being thrown close enough to him. He's ready to put that all behind him, and break out this year. During a scheduled Turkey Bowl tune-up last month, he made amazing catches, made defenders miss, definetely the MVP. But now, can Tim do it with the high pressure, colder weather Turkey Bowl, where every play is important?

  • Eric "Garlic Bread" Knutson: The tallest player in Turkey Bowl history, one of the finest talents I've ever seen. The night before Thanksgiving, we were having a Pre-Turkey Bowl party, we ordered Dominos Pizza. I'm convinced the garlic bread was tampered with. There was WAY too much garlic on that. Eric became sick, and during the Turkey Bowl, Eric would take time off between plays to throw up in a barrel. He was obviously affected, and wasn't nearly the force he could be. This year, will Eric stay away from the garlic bread, and stepup and be the force he can be? Or will the Cinna Stiks take him out this year?

  • Kenny "Don't Hit Me" Martin: Kenny has always been one of the craftiest players in the game, but he hasn't been nearly the playmaker he could be. He has gotten a reputation as a man that's afraid to get hit. Can he shake this image and be a down and dirty player? Or will his girlfriend not let him play at all?

  • Kevin "The Murderer" Marcucci: After the hit heard round the world, Kevin wanted to be more of an offensive force. Through a strict conditioning regime, he has dropped 40 pounds, and is now faster than ever. His ability has always been there, the question for him always is, Will he wake up in time? He has missed many events because of sleeping in, will he get a wake up service, and get his ass to the game?
