Wild West starring Will Smith, Kevin Kline, Kenneth Branagh and
Salma Hayek is now in theaters!

Salma has a
movie coming out on July 31st called Dance With Me. No
other stars are listed, aside from Salma.
Salma will
cameo in Robert Rodriquez's (Desperado & From Dusk
'Til Dawn) upcoming project {tentatively titled THE
FACULTY} now underway in Austin, Texas; it is set for a
December 98 (25th) release.
Salma is
scheduled to appear on CBS' "Late Show with David
Letterman" on Friday, May 1st. The show airs at
10:30 P.M. CST.
Salma has
landed the female lead in Warner Bros.’ The Wild
Wild West opposite Will Smith, Kevin Kline and Kenneth
Branagh. She is now shooting Kevin Smith’s
supernatural comedy Dogma with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon,
Linda Fiorentino and Chris Rock for Miramax.
She will be
seen this summer in Miramax’s 54, in which she plays
an aspiring singer and coat-check girl (see below). Also
upcoming for Hayek is director Dan Ireland’s indie

Up" with Salma and Russell Crowe is finally coming
out on video on April 14th, 1998. Thanks Jim!
Salma has an
article in and is on the cover of the January issue of In
Style magazine.
Salma is
starring in a new movie called 54 with Neve
Campbell! Its being made by Miramax Films and is
directed by a guy named Mark Christopher. Its being
filmed in New York City, Salma plays a character named
Anita and it should be released sometime in 1998.
Salma has
been named REVLON'S NEWEST MODEL! She will begin her tv
and magazine ads next week. Thanks for the info Eric!
The Hunchback
will come out on video Sept. 9th and Rodaracers will be
out on Sept. 16th.
Salma will
make an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman
on September 9th. The show airs at 10:30 P.M. (CST)
weeknights on CBS.
Salma will be
on the Keenen Ivory Wayan's show on August 6. The show
airs at 10 P.M. CST on the FOX Network.
Salma has
been cast in a new romantic-comedy film titled The
Velocity of Gary.It co stars Vincent D'onofrio, and
starts shooting in September.
In the July
21, 1997 issue of Time (with singer Jewel on the cover)
there is an article on the current status of voting in
Mexico after the NAFTA agreement. Salma is also in the
August '97 issue of Playboy (clothed of course).
Salma is now
very involved with English actor Edward Atterton, who has
one of the leads in Three, a Mod Squad-like series that
will premiere this winter on the WB Network. Hayek and
Atterton met last year when they costarred in TNT's
production of The Hunchback but only started dating this
spring.
Salma is on
the current cover of Harper's Bazarr En Espaņol...the
international one that is sold in the US and all over
Latin America. Also Salma has a large feature in this
month's issue of HISPANIC (May 1997) on Latina
Stereotypes in Hollywood)...
Salma's next
role will be playing Mexican painter Frida Kahlo! This
has to be the role of a lifetime for Salma...kids I think
this will be the role that will put her over the top!
