Basement Jaxx takes house music to a different level. As a Chicago native, I really like house music because I like everything from Chicago. It's not just me, everybody who has ever experience the wonder of living in "the city of big shoulders" understands. The Cubs are the best (figuatively), Chicago pan pizza and Italian beef sandwiches rule and the Bulls were the world champions before the sport of basketball met a horrible demise in 1998 and was never heard from again. True, Basement Jaxx are British and they play U.K. House, but if the city of Chicago never existed, they would probably be classical musicians and be unheard today. Rating (out of five)
