The Chicago Bears Shufflin' Crew
The Super Bowl Shuffle
This is a prized souvenir from one of the greatest moments in the history
of mankind. The 1985 Chicago Bears were simply put, the greatest
collection of men in history, and that includes the '27 Yankees and
the 12 Apostles. Not only were they great, but they were dominant,
going
15-1 and winning every playoff game by at least twenty points. Yes, they
were good, but few people give them musical credit. No other football team
in history could dance and rap like these guys. Others, like Green
Bay and that "Jump in the Stand" song and Notre Dame with their fight
song, tried to duplicate "The Super Bowl Shuffle," but it remains
unsurpassed. From the jovial Fridge, the growling Singletary, the
brash McMahon, and Payton oh so sweet, this is a monument not only to rap
and music, but to American culture. This album is even more invaluable
because it is autographed by Gary Fencik, the Pro Bowl safety of the 1985
Bears. During an old-timers flag football gam a couple of years ago, he
leveled former Raider great Fred Biletnikoff, who is 10
years older. Some will say he's a jerk, but I call him a real football
player.
