A lot of my friends don't take Chic seriously. When I mention I have their
greatest hits, they usually snicker. But they're an influential band. The
song "Good Times" was ripped off many, many times. Most notably in the
first rap hit, "Rapper's Delight" and Queen's blatant rip-off "Another One
Bites the Dust." Of course, everybody likes the Queen song, while Chic's
song is just a novelty hit. I could get into race, but you could go to the
library and read about that.
