Beernuts 53, Whippersnappers 15

The season might be a total disappointment for the Beernuts, but at least it's not a total loss. Behind a team-record four touchdowns by Fred Taylor, the Beernuts walloped arch-rival Whippersnappers, 53-15. The Beernuts now lead this storied rivalry, 7-5, and officially knocked the 'Snappers out of playoff contention.

Taylor's mark is the most by a running back and is the fourht three-rushing touchdown game in Beernuts history. Taylor is the only one to do it twice, with Mike Alstott and Terrell Davis doing it once. Taylor tied the team mark of four touchdowns in a game, last reached by WR Tony Martin in 1997.

RB Fred Taylor scores a team-record four TDs.
Taylor came into the game with only one touchdown and has been the main focus of criticism for the defending FFL champion's atrocioous season. He was even the subject of trade talks, and rumors were that the Beernuts would purge the team in the off-season, with Taylor among the first to leae. But after his dominating performance Sunday, his coach Joe Boo thought likewise.
"That was the most dominating performance I've seen in all my years with the Beernuts," he said. "And that's saying something."
QB Donovan McNabb also threw two touchdowns, one to Taylor and another to Darnell Autry. He also ran one in. The Beernuts harassed the 'Snappers, and returned an interception for a TD. Former Beernut great Cris Carter caught a TD for the 'Snappers.
