Jalen Rose's jumper with 0.4 seconds left in overtime
gave the Toronto Raptors a 124-123 victory over Ron Artest
and the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night.
Mike Bibby had 42 points and Artest had 24 in his second
game with Sacramento, but Rose ended Toronto's four-game
losing streak with his clutch shot. Mike James drove toward
the basket and passed to Rose, who took a couple of dribbles
before making his 19-foot jumper. Bibby missed a jumper
at the buzzer.

The Sacramento Kings today acquired the services of Ron
Artest in a trade with the Indiana Pacers in exchange
for Peja Stojakovic, it was announced this afternoon by
Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.
“Ron Artest is going to bring a dimension to this
team that we haven’t had in a long time, maybe since
I’ve been in Sacramento, in terms of his defensive
abilities, his presence on the court, his versatility,
his size and strength,” Petrie said. “Given
where we are at this point of the season, we think he’ll
come in here and really make an impact.”

Mike Bibby and the new-look Sacramento Kings struggled
over the first two weeks of the young season. Perhaps
a meeting with the shorthanded Utah Jazz was all they
needed. Bibby scored 25 points and Peja Stojakovic added
21 as the Kings jumped to an early lead before cruising
to a 119-83 triumph over the Jazz.
