They were all sitting around in the Rec Room after a tiring game. Duke was feeding his Parrot a piece of apple.
"well what kind of name can I give you?" Duke asked the bird.
"give me name, give me name *squak*" the bird repeated back.
"I know Duke. Its so hard to name these guys" Mallory giggled, as her Gizex fell deliberately into her laps after clinging to the roof above where she sat "oh your eye's are so cute..." she nuzzeled the Gizex with her beak.
"you guys are making to much of a big deal about this naming business" Nosedive laughed at them, playing fetch with his dog.
"well what are you going to name that dog of yours baby bro?" Wildwing asked Nosedive as he read the evenings newspaper.
"arhh....argg..." Nosedive growled, Wildwing looked away from the paper & found his brother playing tug of war with the dogs frisbee "come on boy...give Divey the frisbee" Nosedive told the dog, trying playfully to get the frisbee away from the dog.
"well im going to bed" Wildwing yawned, getting up with a tired stretch. Just as he reached the doors he stepped on something. Looking down he saw that it was a hockey puck which the dog had been chewing on. With a sigh he bent down to pick it up "you know Nosedive, you should really.....yeeaaowwww!!!" Wildwing snapped up straight & jumped about 3 feet off the floor, holding his behind. Turning around he found the dog standing there, wagging his tail with a piece of Wildwing's pants & boxers in his mussel "why you little!!...." Wildwing was about to go after the dog but it took off through the doggy door of the other entrance.
They all had a riot laughing at what had happened.
"that things got more teeth than Dragaunus" Wildwing growled with a grimace.
"hey! I know! I'll name him Rex!" Nosedive exclaimed.
"well I've already worked out the name for my pet" Elix said, taking the puck away from the raccoon which had stolen it when Wildwing dropped it "I'll call you Bandit" he petted the raccoon.
"Im callin` mine Hibac" Anic stated.
"Hibac? what kind of name is that?" Kit asked. Anic shrugged.
"I don't know, it just sounds good" He gave the squirl like mouse an orange slice. At that point Duke's parrot flew un onto his head & started to pick at the band of Duke's patch.
"hey! not the patch! not the patch!" Duke took it down.
"watch the patch, not the patch *squak* patch, patch" the bird replied.
"I get the drift. From now on your names Patch" Duke chuckled, offering the bird a kiwi. Elix's sunglasses lay on the coffee table, Mallory erupted in a roar of laughter when the Gizex got behind them & looked at her.
"oohh...hooo....your names Glasses..." Mallory cooed as she stopped laughing, picked up the tiny Tarsier & went to her room.
"I've already named my pet....his names Ozzy" Tanya stated. The Ocelot which is an Earth cat was busy climbing up the really tall scratch post Tanya & Kit had made for their cats.
"hey, Grin. What had you named that Jibel of yours?" Kit asked him.
"Bernie" Grin stated
"Bernie?!!" Nosedive roared out in laughter. Rolling around on the floor.
"is there a problem with that 'little' friend?"
