HOLLYWOOD -- The Dallas-Fort Worth Film Critics Assn. has tapped DreamWorks' "American Beauty" 1999's best picture, with the film's Kevin Spacey copping a nod for best actor.
Hilary Swank was named best actress for her role in Fox Searchlight's "Boys Don't Cry."
For supporting roles, Haley Joel Osment and Julianne Moore were cited for "The Sixth Sense" and "Cookie's Fortune," respectively.
"Beauty" also scored a mention for director Sam Mendes. "Run, Lola, Run" nabbed the foreign-language film nod.
