Erik and Sylvia teach at THE DERBY every Sunday, Monday and Thursday, starting at 8:30 p.m.

They specialize in maintaining the authenticity of America's most beloved dance - swing. This range of dance includes the early 1900s Blackbottom, the 1920s Charleston, the 1930s shag and balboa, and the 1940s and 1950s Lindyhop.

They have done extensive research in all of these styles of dancing and take great care to demonstrate each style in its pure, original form.

They have taught at the Battle of the Big Bands in Washington DC, the Boogie Baren's Whitsun Tide Camp in Germany, and the Swing Jam in San Francisco, in addition to regular nightly teaching jobs at local clubs and their own workshops. They won the Best International Couple 1st place prize in Friesing, Germany this past summer.  They were among the featured teachers this November at "Camp Hollywood."
