MY BIT

My earliest memory of A-ha would have to be listening to "Take On Me" on the radio
[in 1985] without a clue as to who it was. And yet, I was fascinated by the vocal dynamics,
keyboard solo, and poetic nature of the song.
After that, I began listening to the radio frequently, hoping to hear the name of the singer
to be announced. Then finally one day, I heard "...and here's 'Take On Me' by the Norwegian
group A-ha. The first Norwegian band to succeed in the U. S."
Once I knew the name, I began looking for the "Take On Me" single. But once I found
it, I decided to wait and buy the album. Little did I know my family had planned to surprise me
[with it] on my birthday. And the first thing I did [on my birthday] was listen to "Take On Me"
all the way through.
Since then, I have collected everything (magazine articles, albums, posters, shirts, etc.)
that pertains to them.
And now, after pursuing separate careers (since 1993), A-ha has reunited. Which is
excellent news to a loyal fan (me).
