T H E - T R A I L E R
Sorry I was so late in putting the absolutely Gob-smacking (pardon the expression) "TARZAN" Trailer, but better late than never, right? So, here it is:
The Coolest Trailer
This trailer is 6.5 MB, it is in QuickTime Mode,
Click Here to see Phil Collins recording the theme song from "Tarzan", "Stranger Like Me" in FIVE different languages: French, Italian, Spanish (both Latin and Castillian) and German!
He had to learn these languages very quickly, and this marks the first time Phil Collins has ever recorded a song in these languages, and the first time a Disney film features a song sung in different languages by the same recording artist! Pretty cool, huh?
This "Tarzan" trailer is an amazing trailer. One to be proud of. Wait 'til you see the second one! If you don't just want to WATCH it once, but want to DOWNLOAD it and keep it forever (believe me, it's worth the 6.5MB), use this easy method: click on the link with the right-hand button of the mouse, and a window will appear. Click on "Save Target As"/"Save Link As", and it will download it for you. By the way, that's for Windows users. For Mac users,...uh...just try what you think might be right!
Here is a description of the trailer, if you want to read while it downloads. If you want to save the surprise for when it's finished, well...erm,..don't read the following!
The trailer starts with a creepy bit of background music, and a "camera" moving (over and through) the title, "exploring" it. Then it shows some flashes of light, and words come onto the screen: "An Immortal Legend"...then some footage of Tarzan swinging through the trees...and the text reappears: "As You've Only Imagined". Then it shows some scenes from the movie, and
suddenly, soft, creepy music burst into a crescendo of African drum beats, Phil Collins starts singing, and some of the most beautiful jungle backgrounds, suspensful skirmishes and rescues, a baboon chase, more "exploration" of the title with the camera, and touching and heartwarming scenes come onto the screen. Then it ends with Tarzan leaping onto a tree, and he looks at you...."TARZAN"...Coming From Walt Disney Pictures....June 1999...
There is a scene in the trailer that really touched me (and spooked me out a bit, too!) that no-one who's seen the trailer up to now has mentioned. It is only for a brief one-and-a-half seconds, but I always look out for it: it shows a photo (yes, there were photos in 1888) of baby Tarzan with his parents, Lord Greystoke and Lady Alice. Lady Alice has this really touching look in her eyes (that is also very creepy), and she seems to stare right at you. You'll get the feeling when you watch it too, so be on the look-out for it.
You're Ever Likely To See In Your Life...
and it takes 30-35 minutes to download.
It is so well done, well edited, and downright awesome that you'll watch it over and over again!
Enjoy the trailer!
