ANCHOR OF THE SOUL Sorrow and death, loneliness and stress Struggles that won't go away. Eyes that can't see, locks with no key Feeling more and more helpless each day. I face it alone, stand strong in the storm Yet I keep growing weaker with each wave I face all my fears, trying to hold back the tears Until finally under the pressure I cave. Then a man comes along, gives hope to be strong Takes all of my burdens away The storms are still there, but there's someone who cares And He promises with me He will stay. So each day I awake and this friend I now take On my journey that now has a goal For with Him by my side, I have strength for the ride Because Jesus is the anchor of my soul.
