MOM Grandma, mom, mechanic, and friend A connoisseur of meatloaf skillet pie, Bat as a biker you're only spinning your wheel So you don't even have to wave bye - bye. The book on you is your a best seller, Not a mystery but one of good funnin', But when push comes to shove, you can cut it Yard by yard you keep the motor runnin'. Your a blessing from the Father above Like so many moments from Kodak, We just want to say that we love you And give you a well deserved pat on the back! © Jim Ness This was written for Christmas, with a little tongue in cheek. To explain some of the "jabs". At 75 she wanted some exercise so first tried a stationary bike - no :o), but settled for moving the lawn with a push mower, which she did very well. She also loved to read, especially mysteries and could make a "mean" meatloaf skillet pie. :o) Us 3 kids had a "one in a million" mom, who was a "jack of all trades" for not only us growing up, but for the whole neighborhood. :o) She never had an easy life, but she was always there for us and my sister and I miss her very much.
