MOM

A rainbow of life's many colors

Mom, they remind me of you

The special way that you are

And the special things that you do.

First a light purple the color of kings

Is how you always make me feel,

Important, yet even still is there

A reminder that life is still real.

Freedom and support you've given me

As big and wide as the sky of blue,

Wanting always what's best for me

And for this mom, I thank you.

Red is the color of your love

A heart that bears all things,

And always shows a special caring

Gives my life. love's song to sing.

Yellow, like the rays of warm sunshine

Like the smile shown on your face

Through whatever storms that came

With you I always had a place.

Each day greets a brand new sunrise

Colors and shades of orange it brings

Brightening each day in your own special way

Life, as a day by day journey it rings.

Oh, how precious the glitter of gold

That's how precious your love is to me,

I love you and thank God above

For the rainbow colors in you I see.
