Review: Lots of people have given this flick positive reviews, but for the life of me (or the death, considering the stuff we're talking about here), I can't figure out why. There's this whole psychological thing going on here with the lead girl, and that's supposed to be recognized as character depth, but it really does no good to have character depth when nobody cares about your character.
The aforementioned female goes on an island outing with some of her friends, their plane has to land on an uncharted island, where they soon discover Ma and Pa Slasher and begin to get picked off one at a time.
American Gothic is the kind of flick that does definitely try very hard, but none of it's attempts seem to matter much because the viewer just ends up bored...or, at least, I did. But like I said, there's a lot of people who think this film is atmospheric and creepy. I'm just not one of them.
