Review: It's understandable that there can only be so many masked killers in the movies. I mean, after all, there's only so many ways you can cover a guy's face.
So as I watched Graduation Day and realized that the killer was dressed in a FENCING OUTFIT (yes, a fencing outfit--complete with opaque face-covering and sweat-pants!), I consoled myself by repeating "There's only so many masks out there. They were bound to run out of good disguises sooner or later."
But then I looked at the date and realized that this movie was made in 1981!!!!
Yes, I admit, there's a shortage of cool disguises for a killer to don, but in 1981?!? The slasher craze had just barely begun by that point! So, there's really NO excuse for this--except that perhaps one of the writers has an interest in fencing and he wanted to write it in as the killer's hobby. I suppose it doesn't really matter. This movie's a piece of crap, no matter how you look at it.
The good points? Well, there's a decapitation...and a cool musical, roller-rink scene...and that's about it. The rest of this movie is shit. And bad shit, too...
