Review: There's a few really cool moments in Nightmare 2, but not many of them. All in all, it's a great idea for a sequel. Freddy wasn't able to kill off all of the Elm St. kids through dreams alone, so he actually takes over the subconcious mind of one of them and uses his physical body to kill off his victims.
Unfortunately, it just doesn't work all that well. There's nothing really bad about Nightmare 2 as slasher movies go--there's just nothing really great. Still, you just have to laugh while watching Krueger drive that schoolbus.
Trivia: In the original script for Nightmare 2, many more teenagers died in the infamous pool scene. Some were slashed, some were gutted, and a plethora of teenage flesh was burned when Freddy made the pool boil.
