Review: A leather-clad motocycle driver is decapitating pretty young girls at an upscale Boston university in this early 80s piece that comes across so great on many levels, but falls flat on many others.
The police have a bunch of suspects to choose from, but it won't be too hard for you to figure out who the killer really is (it's pretty evident within the first half-hour of the movie). Nevertheless, there's a few good death scenes (how can you go wrong with decapitation?), some awesome cheesy music, and a few good one-liners. The downsides lie in the lack of blood and the fact that the film just goes on far too long, with the "character development" falling flat on its face and leaving you just wanting to see more people get killed.
Night School will pass the time just fine, and does manage to break a little new ground (hey, any movie where a merry-go-round becomes a weapon is revolutionary!), but don't be expecting too much.
Trivia: Also known as Terror Eyes.
