Review: The producers of Prom Night III finally realized that what they had on their hands was not exactly Oscar material, and decided to go for a more humorous approach with this film--and it works. There's puns all over the place in Prom Night III, and most of them are pretty good, especially when you consider that this was written by Ron Oliver, the same guy who wrote the previous two films. He seems to have grown a lot over the course of the series, at least as far as dialogue is concerned.
Mary Lou is reborn once again, and this time she falls in love with a student from today. She begins to make his life better in exchange for him being her girlfriend. Eventually, however, the film turns Fatal Attraction (as we know it's going to the minute it starts), and from there-on, the movie falls flat. But the first hour is a hoot.
