Review: Director Jeff Burr (Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III) has a very distinct style, and it shows in this little piece of otherwise worthless garbage about a magician's spirit that is entombed in a scarecrow. Said scarecrow is then stuck in the middle of a cornfield, where it waits until Elizabeth Barondes and her fellow co-stars arrive in town, and hell begins to break loose. Unfortunately, none of the hell breaking loose is all that interesting--including the part at the middle of the movie where we find out why this scarecrow is killing people. So, as a result, Jeff Burr's really energetic direction is about the only thing worthwhile here. And unforntunately, that's just not enough to make this one worth watching.
