Did You Know...
- Colette, author of the novella, had personally selected Audrey Hepburn for the lead in the 1951 stage production. While Hepburn was the natural first choice for the film, she declined.
- The film was originally to be titled The Parisians, since many felt that Gigi was too similiar to other Leslie Caron vehicles like Lili and Gaby.
