Invasion
Luminous black, twinkling above us.
Stars blotting out one by one,
On the land distant shapes are percived
Then fire, cascading down from the
Sky in a torrent of red,
Blood gushing through the streets,
Boiling in the fire,
Mingling with the red.
Beauty and nature burn in a living hell.
Sharp pokers of scintillating laser flash
And in a majestic cascade
The machines turn to face
But they sit not jumping or pouncing,
Just waiting, bideing their time.
An enormous red eye watching your every move
Charging for Doomsday.
Looking at the destruction there are no flowers or trees,
Grass sits brown and burnt,
All at the command of that glaring eye.
With their ships above us
They have destroyed our sky, and,
Their destiny, has destroyed our future.
