All ABOUT ME

On The 11th day Of The 10th month of the 79th year of the 20th century (11th October 1979 to all those not clued up yet) I was born. Progressing through life fairly normally with the normal traumas which beset a child. "You mean you put the money under my pillow and not the tooth fairy," and "Santa Claus doesn't exist?" A young adult of the name Ian Hopkins emerged into the world. Entering the world of the web he created a web page and lo ALPHA WAVE was created.

Actually to cut to the chase, I live in Dundee in Scotland, UK and write a lot! My writing partner Laura Angus and I spend too much of our time writing sketches and comics and other such stuff. I have aspirations to be in television, not in front of the camera but behind it. I wish to create a television series, or write for one. I would love to write a book and am doing so in The Fruit Trilogy.

I love watching TV and have hundreds of favourite shows but a few in particular stand out. Star Trek, most notably in the DS9 and Voyagre eras. Sunset Beach, heck I write my own weekly column and do various other bits and pieces for the site Sunset Central. ER, The X-Files, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and quite a few other shows such as Friends, Fasier and several British shows are all favourites of mine.

I have loads of reall bizzare friends, although I am sure the would not want to be called bizzare. Aillie, Andy, Ghislaine, Laura, Lise, Paulina, Steph... the list goes on. They are all really nice people and wonderful to turn to when you are in a bind or fix. The will listen to your problems endlessly because they know that by next week they will be relating all their problems back to you!

Apart from spending too much time watching TV, I am also a member of the Going Nowhere Theatre Company. Speakeasy shows are put on every month at the Westport Bar in dundee with material supplied by local writers including myself. John Milne runs Going Nowhere and does a lot of the writing.

As for the future, well one day I hope to be rich and famous, but then again don't we all...
