Ami is by far the smartest of the senshi. It was once said that her IQ is 300. She may not be very strong, but she is indispensible to the other senshi. Her quick calculations and level head save the senshi time after time. She studies constantly, plus she takes an advanced computer class in addition to her regular classes. She can type with one hand, which is pretty cool!
Ami is a very kind person; a kindred spirit. She is very shy when she's not with the other scouts. She is an introvert to Rei's extrovert! Rei is her best friend. Before meeting Serena, Ami didn't have many friends, but spent her time playing chess with an old man.
Ami is an only child whose parents are divorced. Her mother is a doctor and her father is a painter. Ami lives with her mother in an apartment.
In the first season, Ami has a boyfriend named Greg, one of the seven rainbow crystal carriers. He has the ability to see the future. He is the only person who knows that Ami is Sailor Mercury.
