Reynold Brown Early Poster Work
C.A.R.E.

This poster promoted donations to C.A.R.E., a government organization designed to provide relief to the victims of World War II. Produced ca 1946-50. This poster was displayed in busses and subway cars.

Reynold Brown was required to show a fine American couple giving a box of goods, to be prominently displayed, to a pair of Europeans. The use of a grandfatherly type and child in worn clothing helps to encourage sympathy. Brown was probably dissatisfied with the poor graphic requirements but had to please his client.
CARE. Final Poster as published and displayed.
