Reynold Brown was required to show a fine American couple giving a box of goods, to be prominently displayed, to a pair of Europeans. The use of a grandfatherly type and child in worn clothing helps to encourage sympathy. Brown was probably dissatisfied with the poor graphic requirements but had to please his client. | |
