The Cowboy Junkies
These Junkies hail from Athens (that's Georgia) and are known for their hit single "Sweet Jane", and they're one of my current favorites.
Try listening to some clips from their recent album "Lay It Down."
Ok, I'll admit it, I'm not a true afficionado(?) (for those of you who do or do not know me, spelling was never a strong point of mine ; ) ) of this band, but I was really impressed by their collector's ed. boxed set, The Aeroplane Flies High. Great singles and B-sides. I like to call it the collection of songs for those of us who don't like them 100%, even on a good day. (Not to bash them or anything, I really like 'em now.)
