Let’s face it, as well as the Invasion angle has worked for the WWF ratings wise, it’s still just not what the fans of professional wrestling had drooled and fantasized about for so many years. If we were truly to book a WWF vs. WCW Pay Per View, wouldn’t guys like Sting, Goldberg, Ric Flair, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and even Hulk Hogan have a spot on that card? Hell, as far as that goes, who wouldn’t love to see the likes of Bret Hart, Mick Foley, and others who have retired and whatnot get into the mix? With that thought in mind, I decided I’d take a look at MY ideal WWF vs. WCW super card. I decided to limit myself to 10 matches, and in an effort to keep things simple, I’m going to forget this whole WCW/ECW Alliance crap, and we’ll call guys like Tazz and Rhyno WWF wrestlers, while we’ll call guys like Lance Storm and Mike Awesome WCW wrestlers. So basically, whichever fed they were in before this whole WWF buying WCW mess occurred is how I’ll treat them. Guys like Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer, who were never a part of either company when they were separate, won’t be used.

Now then, before we get to the matches, I’m going to ask the readers of this column to email me (jsut316@swbell.net) with your picks for the winners of each match. Please participate! Your vote does count! I want to hear from all of you! If I don’t get plenty of responses by Friday night, then the next column will just be my picks for winners instead of the readers picks, so please, VOTE!

Match One:
Owen Hart vs. Lance Storm
If Owen were still alive, this would be such a dream match. I guess I can still wish though, right?

Match Two:
Tajiri vs. Rey Mysterio Jr.
A possible show stealer right there. But, supposedly we might be able to actually see that match come the beginning of next year.

Match Three: Nude Mud Wrestling Match
Lita, Trish Stratus, and Molly Holly vs. Stacy Kiebler, Kim Page, and Torrie Wilson
I can dream, can’t I? Honestly none of the WCW girls can put on any sort of a match, so why not make it less painful to watch?

Match Four: Submission Match
Chris Benoit vs. Bret Hart
If both guys were healthy, could be a really great match. And yes, I am aware it happened in the old WCW, but Benoit is WWF now, so that’s my reasoning.

Match Five:
Edge & Christian vs. Harlem Heat
Could be really, really great, or...it could suck balls.

Match Six: Hardcore Rules
Rhyno vs. Sid Vicious
Sid can put on a decent showing every once in awhile, let’s just hope he doesn’t get the hankering to play softball mid-match.

Match Seven: Barbed Wire Match
Cactus Jack vs. Terry Funk
Uggh, just thinking about all of the blood flowing makes my stomach turn...

Match Eight:
Chris Jericho vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Ehh, no real explanation for this one other than they both deserve to be included.

Match Nine: Tables Match
The Dudley Boyz vs. The Steiner Brothers
I dunno, it just sounded like a cool idea.

Match Ten: 12-Man Elimination Style Tag Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, and Kurt Angle vs. Goldberg, Ric Flair, Sting, Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall
Notice something about the WCW team, none of those guys are in WWFE right now. Gee, I wonder why WCW didn’t get off of it’s feet on it’s own?

Yes, I know some people were left out, and I know that everyone has different combinations of dream matches they’d like to see...personally I would love to include Shawn Michaels, Jeff Jarrett, Tazz, and many others in the mix there, but I would be making matches all day long, so that’s the 10 match limit right there. Vote! Vote! Go vote dammit! Hell, if you want to email me your match suggestions too, I might publish some of them in the next column.
