After defeating Edge, the Conquistadors unmask and reveal themselves as the Hardy Boyz. Foley rules that Edge & Christian's title victory at No Mercy stands, but so does the Hardys' victory on RAW, so the Hardys are the new champions.

24. The Dudley Boyz (WCW Tag Team Champions) defeat the Hardy Boyz (WWF Tag Team Champions) in a title unification match. Since the WWF won the "winner take all" match later that night, the unified champions are known as the WWF Tag Team Champions. The WCW Tag Title cease to exist.
