Notes
1. Moolah defeats Judy Grable in the finals of a tournament.

2. There is still dispute and speculation as to whether any or all of these title changes actually happened. For sake of simplicity, they're listed as valid changes in this history here.

3. The WWF withdraws from the NWA in 1983, buying the rights to the women's title from Moolah. However, Moolah continues to be recognized as the champion.

4. Moolah wins the title under a mask as "Spider Lady"; unmasks after the match.

5. Title vacated in 1990; inactive until three years later.

6. Blayze defeats Heidi Lee Morgan in the finals of a tournament for the vacant title.

7. Title vacated again in December 1995 when Blayze is fired by the WWF; inactive for another three years.

8. Defeats Sable with assistance from Marc Mero; becomes the first Women's Champion since the belt was originally vacated in '95 when Alundra Blazye was fired.

9. Is defeated by Sable in an evening gown match, but Commishioner Shawn Michaels declares Debra the winner anyway, saying the woman who has the better 'puppies' should be the winner if her evening gown gets taken off.

10. Chyna cannot reach a deal with the WWF over a new contract, however, she never reappears on TV to loose the Women's Title, last defending it at May's PPV event. So a "Six-Pack" match is made for Survivor Series to crown the new champion. Trish Stratus defeats Ivory, Lita, Jazz, Mighty Molly, and Jaqueline to become the new Women's Champion.

11. World Wrestling Federation Entertainment officially changes their name to World Wrestling Entertainment on May 6, 2002, thus getting the "F" out and becoming WWE. Jazz is the first WWE Women's Champion.
