Winona Ryder is the generation-X movie star who first gained attention in Heathers (playing opposite Christian Slater) and Mermaids (as a confused, sexually obsessed nun wanna-be). She shot to stardom by playing the female lead in Bram Stoker's Dracula, and her film Reality Bites is a cult classic among the generation-Xers. She also received critical acclaim (and a few nominations and an award) for her performance in such films as The Age of Innocence, Little Women and The Crucible.
Personal Information:
Winona Ryder was born Winona Laura Horowitz on October 29, 1971 in Winona, Minnesota, which is where she got her name (if she goes back in time, she can claim the town was named after her). She is the daughter of Michael and Cindy Horowitz and has three siblings--Sunyata, Jubal and Yuri. Acid culture guru Timothy Leary is her godfather. She stands 5'4" and was raised in Petaluma, California. She was discovered by a talent scout at the age of 13 during a performance at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco where she attended high school.
And the rest, she is still writing into history.

Anything else on Winona that you can't find here, you'll probably find in any number of other sites, but you might want to check this out for starters:
I don't presume my page to be superior to any of the 100 or so other web sites dedicated to Winona in any way, but I like it best cause it's mine. I just think that Winona Ryder is the finest woman on earth and that I should devote even a meager amount of my time and energy promoting that fact--mostly just for my own personal pleasure, and hopefully, yours as well. Thanks for dropping by.
