ince my introduction to music composition, I have been fascinated by Church music. Specifically, the Requiem Mass always held for me a sense of indescribable wonder. The fact that it is still heard and admired after so many centuries is truly a testimony to its unique archetypal power. Close study of the text reveals that not only does it contain our deepest fears, but our greatest hopes. I felt strongly compelled to compose my own rendition of the Requiem, which I humbly present here, along with other Church pieces. |
