THE PIG FARM (Michael Lee Barlin, 2001)-
A weirdly ingratiating, strangely sophisticated,
gross-out gangster flick involving an unemployed
country bruiser named Rusty Showers (Richard Alan
Johnston), a crazy Mafia hit man with a waste-
disposal problem, and the propensity of pigs to
eat just about anything, Michael Lee Barlin's
very talented, no budget first feature is smartly
paced, and, for the most part, admirably underplayed.
