The Darksword Trilogy

These books are one of my favorates. It is a story of an outcast prince, Joram, who knows nothing of his past. He was born in a magical word, Thimhallan, with no magical abilites of his own, thus was prounced Dead. He was raised by a madwoman, far away from his palace home. He discovers Technology, which fills the void of the loss of his magic. He makes friends with a catalyst monk, Father Saryon, and a fool called Simkin. Together, Joram forges the Darksword, and goes on many adventures which leads to the discovery of his past and the fufullment of a prophecy.

These books are a must-read! They are exciting, scary, and full of such imagination! It is a story of the wizard world, where an evil wizard, Lord Voldemort, tries to kill an inncoent baby. He cannot, and he loses his power and disappears. This baby was Harry Potter, who has become one of the most famous wizards in all time. Since his parents were killed by Voldemort, he is sent to live with his Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia and his cousin, Dudley. They consider Harry a freak, and keep his past a secret to him for 11 years. On his 11th birthday, he is sent a letter saying he has been accepted into a Wizards School, Hogwarts and he learns about the wonderful world in which he belongs!

I reccomend these books to anyone loves a good story!

Earthsea Trilogy

Another favorate of mine, I can read these books over and over again, they are so detailed and fun. This trilogy is about the life of Ged, who is one of the most famous wizards of the history of Earthsea. A must read!

Harper Hall Trilogy

by Anne McCaffrey

This is a charming story about a teenage girl named Menolly. She lived on a planet Pern, where dragons live with humans. Menolly dreams of becoming a musician, a harper. But she is not allowed, because she lives in a traditional sea-hold (similar to a village. Menolly becomes so unhappy she runs away, and befriends a group of firelizards, cousins to the magnificent dragons. Menolly is then rescued by a dragon rider, and he takes her to the Harper Hall, where Menolly must work to make her dreams come true.

I really like these books! I have read them several times and I think they are well worth the try!
