Kevin Lomax (Keanu Reeves) is an ambitious, talented young defense attorney from Florida. No matter how hopeless the case, it seems as though he can persuade the jury to acquit his client.

Lomax's accomplishments attract the attention of John Milton (Al Pacino), the mysterious and charismatic head of a powerful New York law firm.
