For the first time in two years, Paul McGann is back on screen. He's not only starring in two films -- Downtime and Fairlyland, A True Story [sic] -- but he also has the lead part in a BBC production of Dickens' Our Mutual Friend. So, why is it all happening at once?
"It's the way it's worked out," says Paul, 38. "I've worked over the last few years and it's all coming out together. But I hate seeing myself on screen -- it gives me the creeps. I only pluck up courage to watch three months later!"
Downtime is one of the few action films Paul has worked on, but hopes it won't be his last, even though he had vertigo. "We filmed on top of a high building and I couldn't speak or move, but I just had to get on with it."
