Q: | Are you like the action hero you play in Downtown? |
A: | I'd like to think i could rise to the occassion. But the truth is I like the quiet life. Going to the park with my kids or mixing my drinks is as exciting as it gets. |
Q: | Was shooting the film dangerous? |
A: | Action pictures tend to be safer than most films 'cause people are looking out for you. And of course you never do the dangerous stuff. |
Q: | You're also in Fairytale. Do you believe in Fairies? |
A: | I do now. It's strange but there was such a magical atmosphere on the set that everyone believed or wanted to believe by the end. |
Q: | Did you always want to be an actor? |
A: | My first ambition was to be a spaceman; then a footballer. Later I wanted to be an athlete and then a teacher. I did not want to be an actor until I was 20. |
Q: | Are you lucky or unlucky? |
A: | In the main lucky; I lost out on the lead to Sharpe after injuring myself. But I can't help but be philosophical. |
Q: | What's the most important thing in your life? |
A: | My family. Nothing comes close to my feelings for Annie my wife of 16 years and our 2 sons, Jake 7 and Joe 9. |
Q: | Would you encourage your sons to follow in your foorsteps? |
A: | No...only people who can't be dissuaded should go into acting. |
Q: | What scares you? |
A: | Turnng into one of those dads who sits in an armchair watching telly with his belly hanging over his legs. That's why I stay in shape. |
Q: | What do you think of the Paul McGann Internet sites? |
A: | They're kinda funny. I've heard theres a picture of my bare bum somewhere on the web. |
Q: | Have you any vices? |
A: | I dont drink tea or coffee. I like red wine now and then. Otherwise I drink water. Plus I'm a vegetarian. I'm the Cliff Richard of the acting world. |
