During the first televised episode, Orry saves Madeline from a snake in her carriage. They then ride together to Resolute, Justin's plantation. On the way, Madeline drops her handkerchief and says, "Oops, I've dropped something. That was very clumsy of me." Orry replies with, "Yes, it was." However, that somewhat comical line does not appear in the script. Madeline says, "Oh, dear. I'm afraid I've dropped something." makes no remark about being clumsy, and the scene goes on.
When George and Constance first dance in Mexico she replies twice to something he says in almost the same manner. Wendy Kilbourne says, "Oh did you now?" and "Oh do you now?" In the script the "now" is omitted both times.
Similarly, Kirstie Alley says that she escaped from a, "teeny, tiny window." Virgilia's printed line only has her speak of an undescribed window.
