Big weddings weren't a first for Francis. Luke and Laura's 1981 wedding was the most watched as well as the most publicized event in soap opera history and earned her the Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Lead Actress the same year. Francis's other soap opera roles include 'Diane Colville', Days of Our Lives, and 'Ceara Connor', All My Children.
She was in 1995 made for television movie Terror in the Shadows and guest starred in Camp Nowhere and an episode of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman with Frakes.
