I think that Book 1 & 2 were put together BEAUTIFULLY, but they cut corners on Heaven and Hell....I think it could've been better.

In addition to your favaorite lines or scenes..I wanted to add when Charles was in the pub and Salem Jones comes in and Charles says the slaves said you weren't fit to sleep with pigs, but I said you were. Also, the part where George resigns form the arm
and confronts Bent..that part is awsome. 'ANd if yo ever interfere with me or my friend Orry Main again..I'll find you and I'll kill you, just as sure as you crippled him'
I ahve more favorites, but I'd be reciting the whole movie. Greatest movie ever made!!!

After seeing your list of favorite scenes, I had to make my own. Here they are:
1) Breakfast at Mont Royal - when the Hazards and the Mains learn that Virgilia helped Grady escape from James Huntoon. I loved Virgilia's last words: "One day you'll all understand what's about to happen here. And when you do, God help you."
2)Constance's Murder - Don't get me wrong! I adored Constance Hazard and was more than upset to see her killed her off. But . . . Wendy Kilbourne and Philip Casnoff did a SUPERB JOB in this scene. Both should be commended.
3) Charles' Duel - It was great to see Charles teach that sniveling Whitney Smith a lesson.
4) Semiramis Surprises Salem Jones With a Gun - After what Semiramis had went through with Jones, it was great to see her aim that double-barreled shotgun at that creep! Too bad she didn't pull the trigger again.
5)Girl Talk With Ashton and Brett - Great intimate scene between the two Main sisters. Terri Garber and Genie Francis have a great chemistry together.
6) Bull Run - This is a SUPERB scene! Bill Conti's music, combined with the action makes this a classic moment in the NORTH AND SOUTH TRILOGY. Wendy Kilburne gets to end it with a memorable line: "The world has gone insane, George. Completely insane."
Perfect description.
7) Charles, Jackson & the Cheyenne - One of the funniest scenes in the trilogy, as Charles, Jackson and (whatever his name) seeks shelter with a Cheyenne medicine man after that Scar scatters their goods. Kyle Chandler and Rip Torn are marvelous.
8) George and Orry Meet - Ah! The classic moment when the two friends first meet in New York City. No words can describe it.
9) Harper's Ferry - Great scene! I nearly cried when Grady died from the militia's bullets.
10) The Death of Sam Greene - Let's face it, the man got what he deserved. And Virgilia delivered it with style.
