As Buffy's Watcher -- the person whose destiny it is to
lead her on her path -- librarian Giles is usually all
business. Although he's often stern with Buffy, he really
does care for her, and his guidance is tempered with
kindness.
Most viewers will instantly recognize Anthony Stewart
Head as the leading man in the popular Taster's Choice
instant coffee commercials. But he has appeared in
dozens of other roles, on both stage and screen.
Head was a regular on the sci-fi
show "VR.5." His guest-starring
roles include appearances on
"Highlander" and "NYPD Blue." He
can also be seen in the films "A
Prayer for the Dying," "Devil's Hill"
and "Lady Chatterley's Lover." A
native of England, he appeared in
many BBC Productions, including
"Secret Army," "Accident," "Bergerac," "The Grudge
Fight," "Howard's Way" and "Pulaskyi." He also starred in
the British television productions "Enemy At The Door"
and "Love In A Cold Climate."
Head has many stage credits as well, inculding British
productions of "Godspell," "The Rocky Horror Show,"
"Julius Caesar," "Chess," and "The Heiress."
