Again

I wake to perpetual darkness
I live in perpetual night
as dawn's rays
penetrate the misty mountains
fog lifts
and my life
momentarily halted

as I look at the sight
go to my bed
wish bless
to kin
as ancients say
and sunbeams drift
down to meet me
hauntingly
until the sky breaks
and I see
the moon rise
again
