Powers:
Animal Control: 4, Animal Summoning: 12, Cell Rot: 8, Control: 4, Empathy:
6, Omni-Power: 0, Power Reserve: 7, Sonar: 10, Speak With Animals: 12,
Swimming: 7, Telepathy: 4, Ultra Vision: 7, Water Freedom: 12
Bonuses and Limitations:
-
Animal powers only work on marine life.
-
Omni-Power may only be used to mimic mental powers.
-
Power Reserve has a number of side effects when used, including slowly
turning Aquaman into a Kordax-like green scaly monster when used frequently
and causing Aquaman to use his Control power without realizing that he
is using it.
-
Power Reserve may only be applied to Control, Telepathy, Will, Mind, or
Omni-Power. Note that he can use Telepathy to instigate mental combat,
and that having a high Will will allow him to do more mental damage.
-
Aquaman was unaware that he had the Sonar power until recently when he
was temporarily blinded.
-
Cell Rot represents another new power for Aquaman, which I don't think
he has used yet, but which Peter David plans to give him. This represents
the ability to draw out water from living things.
-
Note that Animal Control has been reduced in APs. This represents that
he has found several creatures difficult to control, such as piranha and
sharks, the latter being too stupid to remember details for very long.
However, his Charisma is sufficient to sway most fish to do what he wants
them to do, when using his Speak with Animals power.
Skills:
Animal Handling: 6, Charisma: 8*, Martial Arts: 8, Vehicles: 6, Weaponry:
8
Advantages:
Leadership, Lightning Reflexes
Connections:
Atlantis (High), JLA (High), Dolphin (High), Koryak (Low), Vulko (Low),
Tempest (High)
Drawbacks:
Authority Figure, formerly Married, formerly Exile, Public ID, Fatal
Vulnerability (lack of water: special), Minor Physical Restriction: one
hand. Serious Rage, but only after prolonged use of Power Reserve.
Equipment:
CYBERNETIC HARPOON/HOOK [BODY: 8, Claws: 8, Stretching: 4, Digging:
4]
This hook has a line which can be stretched out or retracted at will.
The hook can be used as a harpoon or it can spin and act as a drill.
WATER SUIT [Body: 8, Sealed Systems: 15]
This is his traditional orange'n'green costume which he no longer wears.
It provides him with water so that he can stay on land for a day rather
than merely an hour. Currently, Dolphin wears the shirt (and nothing else).
CAMOUFLAGE SUIT [BODY: 8, Thief (Stealth): 6]
This is his blue stealth suit that Tempest currently wears a red version
of. Orin never wears this anymore.
ARMOR [_BODY_: 10]
Since Aquaman can't put on a shirt, being one-handed, he instead opts
for this half-armor. Trick Shots to avoid hitting the armor only get a
-1CS.
In addition to the above, Aquaman has a varying number of high-tech gadgets
that come and go as plot devices.
Pets:
Tusky the walrus
Topo the octopus
Assorted finny friends
Alter Ego: Orin, Arthur Curry.
His close friends currently call him Orin. Distance aquaintances might
call him Arthur.
