CrossedSamurai-sm.gif - 2.0 K CrossedSamurai-sm.gif - 2.0 K Being an orphan, Richie fended for himself in the mean streets, when not in various state institutions. His early years were ones of the evolutionary process of natural selection, where the weak perished, and only the strong survived. His early education consisted of courses in lying, cheating and stealing, with a Major in burglary. He received above average grades, with an occasional suspension spent in a correctional facility.

During one, of what he thought would be an easy score, he ran across three psycho Flynn/Fairbanks want-a-bees, welding swords . . . BIG swords. This was his introduction to Duncan MacLeod, and the beginning of a new life. Mac and Tessa took him in, taught him the ways of decent folk, and introduced him to a world he could have only imagined while living on the streets. He was also brought into a life he didn't even know existed -- the life of Immortals and the "Game". Even before he found out that he, too, was an Immortal, he lived in the world of the Game, getting involved with Mac's fight of Good over Evil.

Since the time that he "died", and was resurrected into Immortaldom, Richie has grown as an Immortal, sometimes finding the line between Good and Evil, a little too thin. There have been times, when he has went off on his own, when no-one has any idea what has happened to him. But each time, when he finally comes back, he comes back a little wiser, a little more mature, and with a vengeance.

Where he started the series as Mac's "Fateful Sidekick", he has now become an Immortal to be reckoned with.
