73-year-old Linda Plager, who was MacLeod's love 50 years ago, is dying. Meanwhile, Immortal Greg Powers, an old friend of MacLeod's, has lost his will to live and tries to drag Richie down with him.

Turnabout
MacLeod's old friend Michael Moore is being pursued by Evil Immortal Quentin Barnes. It turns out that Barnes and Michael are one and the same.

The Darkness
A renegade Watcher kidnaps Tessa in order to bring MacLeod to him. MacLeod defeats him, but as Tessa and Richie are heading for the car, a young junkie accosts them for money, and in an act of senseless violence, shoots them both. Richie learns that he is an Immortal. But Tessa is gone.

Immortal terrorist Annie Devlin is coming after Richie, and MacLeod must train him, fast, to defend himself.

The Zone is being taken over by Canaan, a charismatic leader who urges his followers to take the material possessions that have been denied to them.

Amanda, the beautiful Immortal cat-burglar from (The Lady and the Tiger), returns to town in possession of some plates for counterfeit US currency, stolen in Germany before World War II.

Jimmy Sang, a former student of Charlie's, is an up-and-coming martial arts movie star, in danger from a powerful gang.

Run for Your Life
Carl Robinson is an Immortal who MacLeod first met in 1929 when he rescued him from a KKK lynch mob. Today, Carl has given up believing in justice -- or in himself.

Epitaph for Tommy
Tommy Bannen is an innocent bystander who's accidentally killed during a swordfight between MacLeod and the Immortal Gallen. Haunted by the unnecessary death, MacLeod tries to find out more about the dead man.

MacLeod's old friend Tommy Sullivan is a scrappy little Irishman, a one-time boxer turned trainer, who can charm anyone into anything.

Nefertiri was Cleopatra's handmaid, buried 2000 years ago with her mistress. Now revived, she pursues a vendetta against the Immortal Marcus Constantine, who was her lover and her enemy.

Amanda's friend Rebecca is killed, and Amanda is determined to avenge the death, even though it means going up against formidable Immortal Luther, and very possibly losing her head.
