One Boring Saturday - Part Two

Chea and Micky were lead into a big castle by a couple of the flying monkeys that had just kidnapped them from the yellow brick road. Chea, Micky and the others were killing time acting out scenes in the "Wizard Of Oz". All of a sudden some monkeys snatched them from their journey to see the wizard. They looked around the castle as they were lead up a bunch of stairs.
"What is this? Medieval Times?" Chea asked out loud. "I'll take a seat by the window."
Micky laughed uneasily. The monkeys didn't react.
"I gather these monkeys don't laugh much." Micky said. "Look at where they live, if I were them I would be like laughing never." Chea said.
They came to the top of the stairs and ended up in a very large chamber. There were windows everywhere but they were all black. There was a big mirrored ball hanging over head. There was also a large crystal ball sitting in an elaborate holder in the middle of the room.
"She must work at night. It's so dark in here." Chea mused.
"So glad you can join us." A person behind them said. Chea and Micky jumped a mile. She had a robe with a large hood. It draped over her forehead. They couldnt see who it was.
"Who are you?" Chea asked as she grabbed onto Mickys arm.
"I'm the wicked witch of the west." The witch took off her hood. The witch looked like Bonny, the girl from their last adventure. Chea knew, however, that it wasn't Bonny. "And you arent Dorothy."
"Yeah." Chea said.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"You tell us, the monkeys brought us here." Micky said.
"Oh yeah, thats right." The witch said. "Stupid monkeys. I told them to fetch the girl in the tablecloth dress." She said pointing at Chea. "They got the wrong girl."
"They did?" Micky asked.
"Of course they did." The witch said. "We got a little uh thing to settle between us. Very personal. She borrowed my favorites shoes, wont give them back." She shrugged. "Friends, what can you do?"
"Can we leave?" Chea asked.
"In a while. Why don't you sit back, and relax?" The witch invited them, zapping a couple of bean bag chairs. "I been flying with the monkeys before, they are very bad flyers." She said. "Just till the vertigo passes."
"Okay." Micky said as they cautiously made their way to the chairs. They plopped themselves down.
"I guess shes not that bad." Chea said.
There was a puff of smoke. The chairs were gone. Chea and Micky looked around when the smoke passed. They were both sitting in chairs.
"Uh ok." Micky said. "I think the doors that way." He said seriously spooked. He tried to get up, but he couldnt move.
"Whats wrong Mick?" Chea asked.
"I can't move, its like my entire bodys turned to lead." Micky said.
"What?" Chea said and tried to get up on her own. The chair had the same effect on her. They both continued to struggle, the witch started to cackle.
"Save your strength my prettys. You are gonna be there for a long time." The witch said. "At least until you give me your shoes."
Chea looked down. The shoes that were giving her so much trouble in fact the trademark red shoes of Dorothy. Seh had forgotten the witch wanted her shoes at one point in the movie.
"Feel free! Heck, they arent even my color." Chea said. "Saddle shoes are murder."
"Nice to see you are so cooperative." The witch said. She crept over to her shoes.
"Careful, though, my feet tend to reek after long walks." Chea said. "Like a fine cheese."
"I'll be careful." The witch said reaching for them.

Meanwhile

The gang were walking down the yellow brick road. They had been singing the whole way. Karen had picked the most recent song they were singing to avoid singing any of the actual movie songs.
"You keep on shouting yea you keep on shouting." Brianna and Karen sang. "I....wanna rock and roll all night....and party every day."
Mike put out a hand in front of the girls as they came to a crossroads. They stopped singing.
"Uh oh. A fork in the road." Davy said.
Peter bent over and picked it up. "Hey...formica wear!"
"Not that fork!" Mike said. "Which way do we go?"
"We're gonna go to the witches castle, right?" Peter asked.
"If we had a choice, no." Brianna said.
"I'd rather be at Hollywood and Vine right now." Karen admitted.
"We have to rescue the guys right?" Mike asked.
"Wait a minute." Davy said. "Are we sure flying monkeys would go to the witches castle?"
"They wouldnt exactly go to LAX you know." Brianna said.
"And the monkeys work for the witch." Peter pointed out.
"Peters the expert on this movie." Karen said patting him on the back.
"Thanks!" Peter said.
"Which way do we go?" Mike asked.
"Well..." Peter said looking around. "This way."
"How can you tell?" Davy asked.
"Cause the sign says so." Peter pointed out the sign.
"Ah." Davy sighed. "How come we missed that?"
"If Peter says its this way, then its the way we're going." Mike said. He grabbed Karens hand. Brianna grabbed Davys hand and also grabbed Peters hand.
"If we stick together, we can do it." Brianna said positively.
The gang walked off into the direction pointed. A sign appeared from behind a tree as they passed.
"Wicked witchs of the west service entrance."

The main hall

The witch reached for the shoes. The minute she touched them. She jumped back a foot.
"Ouchie!" She muttered. "I'll get you for that, my pretty and your uh boyfriend too."
"What happened?" Chea asked.
"The shoes, they shocked her." Micky said.
"Oh yea, I remember now." Chea said. "The magics shoes can't be removed by anyone but Dorothy. I think. At least they never shocked her.
"Takes the shoes off." The witch said.
"Sure." Chea said. "Just let me go."
"You won't do anything smart will you?" She asked.
"Me, smart? Its too late for met to do anything smart.." Chea said. "Isn't that true Mick?" He nodded reluctantly.
"Fine." The witch said. "I'll let your boyfriend go too. Just get me a glass of water." She said. "My throat is killing me."
"Sure." Micky said.
The witch waved her hands and the chairs magically let them go. Chea bent over and took the shoes off. She cringed when she did so.
"Cramp! Oh god!" She muttered as she got up. "Here you go, knock yourself out."
"Thanks but I'd rather have the shoes. Now I can go on Talent Search!!" She cackled.
"Heres your glass of water." Micky said coming across the room from the "kitchen". He came so fast he didnt see the small black cat that crossed in front of him. He went to step forward and he tripped over the cat. He let out a whelp as the glass flew out of his hand. The water splashed all over the witch. She howled.
"OH MY GOD!!" She screeched. "It's the third time this week, and this is LEATHER!!!!" She said. "Three?" She stopped and asked herself. "Oh no, if I get hit three times with water..." She said as she started to sink into a ground. "I'm melting!" She screeched as she disolved into the ground. Nothing was left but a black puddle.
"Oh man, three strikes and shes out." Micky said.
"Not that I'm really sad, she freaked us out!" Chea said.
"Let's get outta here." Micky said taking her hand. "I don't want to spend anymore time here than we have to."
"What about my shoes?"
"What shoes? They're mush." Micky said.
"Yeah, but they were still better than bare feet." She pointed out.
"Okay, I'll give you a piggy back ride." Micky said.
"Change out of the tin man outfit and you got a deal." Chea said.
Micky quickly complied throwing the outfit on the ground. He then helped Chea on his back, and they headed for the door.

The witchs castle

"Great." Mike said. "Turns out we used the path to get to the witchs service entrance."
"What does she need a service entrance for?" Davy asked.
"You know, a place for someone to unload of eye of newt supplies. The usual." Brianna offered.
"How do we get in?" Peter asked.

Inside

A flying monkey was somehow watching the Gong Show on a small tv. There was a pounding at the door. The monkey grunted them went over and opened it.
"What you want?" He asked.
"Monkee Pizza Delivery!" The five cried.
"Five people, deliver one pizza?" He scratched his head. "We're a family business." Mike nodded.
"Come in. Better have anchovies?" He grunted.
"Well you're in luck." Peter said holding up a fish. "And its fresh."
"Put over there. Me get you tip." He grumbled.
"Okay, quick everyone look while hes distracted." Mike said holding the pizza.
Davy and Brianna went up a set of stairs. "See anyone?"
"No do you?" Brianna asked.
"I'd go but I hate the dark as much as you hate swimming!" He said.
"True." She said. They moved to go back down the stairs when they ran into Chea and Micky. Micky had her on her back.
"Chea! Micky!" Brianna said. "Thank god!"
"How did you get away?" Davy asked.
"Let's say she a little water accident." Chea said. "Where are the others?"
"Outside with pizza and the flying monkey." Brianna said.
"What?" Micky asked.
"Nevermind, we'll tell you later." Davy said.
The foursome went out the door where Karen and Peter were at the door while Mike was getting some money from the flying monkey.
"Thirty-One minutes." The monkey grumble. "Pizza not free?"
"Hey you oughta navigate this forest." Mike said.
"Let's go." Karen whispered in Mikes ear.
"Well bye now." Mike said.
"Have nice day." The flying monkey said.
They walked out the door and ran out of the woods.

a few minutes later

The group finally stopped running a couple of miles down the road for the castle. They ended up in a filed of poppies.
"Oh pretty flowers." Chea said.
"Oh guys this isnt the greatest place to stop." Peter said.
"Why not?" Micky asked. "Its so nice and peaceful."
"Yeah." Karen said.
Mike slipped his around her as they laid down. "The perfect place to sleep."
"Guys, the poppies will make you sleep!" Peter said struggling to pull his friends out of their slumber. Davy and Brianna were so small they almost vanished within the flowers.
Peter looked around as he was finally overcome.
"Oh heck with it." He said and plopped down into a dreamy sleep.

Chea was the first to wake up. She moaned. She then got up. She noticed they were all sprawled on a green road.
"Hey!" She said. "Where did all the flowers go?" She mused.
She poked Micky.
"Mommy, I don't wanna go to school. The kids will loogie all over me. No! I don't wanna be a jock strap princess again, no!" Micky moaned. She shook him. "Wha?" He asked. "I was having a weird dream."
"Remind me to never ask you about it. Jock strap princess?" She laughed.
"Oh yeah, they were making me wear a tutu and aone as a hat. Long, long story." Micky said and got up. "Where are we?"
"I dunno. Our OZ-pert is asleep." Chea said. They walked over and woke him up.
"Peter where are we?" Chea asked as they others stirred around them.
"Hmm." Peter said and got up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He then looked around. His eyes popped out of his head. "The Emerald City!" He pointed.
Chea and Micky, and the others, looked off into the direction he pointed. Peter jumped up and down like a kid on Christmas day.
"Let's go!" He cried then ran off down the green road.
"Petah!" Davy cried groggily.
"I suppose we go after him." Mike said.
The guys linked arms and went down the road together. No one else was gonna split them apart, now.
"Do we sing?" Karen asked.
"Only if you want to." Mike said.
"Nah, I think I've had enough." Karen said as they go to the big door with Peter at the door knocker.
"Are we ready?" Peter asked. "We are going in right?"
"There wouldnt be no point to coming if we didnt go in." Mike reasoned.
"Let's vote." Micky said. "That would be very democratic at this point."
"Sure." Chea said. "All who want to follow Peter into the city go "Aye!"
Everyone who went aye except Micky and Chea who chose to say "foot!"
The gang waited while Peter knocked on the door. The little door up on top and a small man poked his head through the hole.
"Whaddya want? I'm on my break!" The man said eating his sandwich.
"We're the monkees!" Peter said.
"Ah, you bunch." The man said. "The wizards been waiting for you."
"He has?" Mike asked.
"What did I just say? Yea, hes been waiting for you!" The man said. "Come in."
The man vanished from the little hole. A minute or two passed by.
"How did this guy know to wait for us?" Micky asked.
"Maybe our reputation proceeded us." Davy shrugged.
"Maybe yours did." Peter said.
The door swung open. It revealed the Emerald City in all its glory. But there seemed to be green sheets everywhere.
"Pardon us. Laundry day." He said. "Walk this way." The little man said. The others shrugged and stooped to follow him. Everyone but Brianna and Davy. They walked normally.
"You guys making fun of me and Briannas height again are you?" Davy scoffed.
"Oh no." Micky said. "We only make fun of short people we don't know."
"Ah ok chaps." Davy laughed.
They were lead through the laundry sheets and down the collosal hallway through to the wizards chambers.
They were escorted in. The little man left. The taller of the bunch stood straight up. The door slammed behind them after the man left.
"What now?" Micky said.
"I dunno." Mike said. "Hey wheres Peter?"
"Wasn't he with us when he came in?" Chea asked.
"Silence!" A sudden voice boomed. Micky leapt into Davys arms. He immediately collapsed.
"Little heavy arent you mate?" Davy said as Micky got up.
"Sorry." He said.
"Who goes there in the great chamber of the everlasting know it all, the great and powerful oz??"
"Uh.." Karen stuttered. "Who wants to field that one?"
"Silence!" The voice thundered.
"AHH!" Karen said clutching Mike.
"I guess I'll speak for this here group." Mike said. "We are here to see you. We have been far. We have had a somewhat small adventure. We have sang songs nothing to do with this movie." Mike said. "After all we did to get here, his royal imperial-ness should spare us a few minutes to chew the fat." He said. "Please."
There was a long silence.
"Does that mean yes?" Micky asked.
The silence continued.
"Hmm." Brianna said. "Look at that curtain." She said walking over to the far wall.
"Brianna!" Davy hissed. "Bria!"
"I thought we agreed on Bea!" Brianna said back.
"Someone might be taking a shower!" Chea said. "This is no time for a Psycho parody!"
The came back.
"A-hhrmm!!" It boomed. "Don't go near the curtain! It's a changing room!" Brianna continued to the curtained area. "I have chubby thighs!"
Brianna took her left hand and swung the curtain open and there was....

"Peter!!!!" The whole group said together.
"Uh hi." Peter laughed into his microphone.
"I had you fooled didnt I?" He said.
"So the great Oz was really Peter." Micky said. "Raise your hand if you thought this was going to be the twist in the end of the story."
(pause for anyone who raises their hand)
"Put down your hand Davy." Micky laughed.
"Now what?" Chea asked.
"I say we go home." Karen offered. "I'm getting a little tired, even though we did sleep in a poppy field earlier."
"I know what you mean." Mike said.
"Yeah. We've had our fun. Time to put away our device till another day." Davy said.
"Or at least till get bored again." Brianna said.
"Who knows when that will be?" Micky said. "Maybe when the author gets inspired again."R "I'm glad you spoke up Micky, me and a friend were kicking around an idea with you guys and the Full Monty!" The authors voice broke in.
"Oh no!" The trio of girls broke in. "If anyone is seeing anyone naked, its not going to be you!"
Micky hurriedly punched in the code for their world, and pushed the button. They vanished before the author could speak.
"No respect at all!" The author said and closed her file.
