Friends in the twilight zone - The one about the charmer. Chandler bing is smart and funny, but he cant get a date to save his life. But after tonight everything is gonna change for our favorite loveable loser. Chandler is gonna find out what it is like to get a date in the twilight zone.
Chandler opeend his door to see Ross and Joey sitting and chuckling at a bread maker commercial. They were laughing at the fact the requistite blondie in the commercial didnt know how to make toast.
"There are times I really worry about you two." Chandler said slamming his case on the table.
"Well you would be laughing at this thing too if you had only seen it from the beginning." Joey said, he looked over at Chandler who had pulled up a chair next to Ross.
"Whats the problem?" Ross asked.
"Problem?" Chandler grunted. "I got a promotion and someone on my team still thinks I'm gay."
"No way." Joey said. "Don't they know about you seeing Janice for all those months?"
"Didnt make a difference." Chandler said getting up. "I asked a girl out today for lunch. She said maybe...in the year 5000."
"What did you say?" Ross asked.
"I was totally stupid and said I would have to check my schedule for that day."
"What are you gonna do for tonight?"
"I dont know." Chandler grunted and scratched his head. "I might take a nap, you guys and meet you down at central perk later?"
"Maybe by then your luck will change. After all you do have a day off tomorrow. We could go see a movie."
"Yeah, if I'm only so lucky." Chandler said as the door opened.
"Hi!" Phoebe said.
"Could you knock next time?" Joey asked. "We could have been naked."
"Well you anyway." Chandler corrected him. He walked into his room and closed the door after trying to avoid the cabinet Joey had made. He didnt ever bother to take his suit of fhe fell face first onto his bed. Chandler was asleep instantly. It felt as though someone had thrown an anvil on him cause he felt like he was sinking through his bed. After a long while he opened his eyes. They were heavy at first and then felt better as he blinked his eyes. He got up, and stretched.
"That was a good sleep." He told himself. He saw himself in the mirror and changed out his now wrinkled and extremely sweaty suit.
He changed into a comfortable outfit and bounded out the door. Rachel was in the hallway.
"Hi there. Whats up? Ross said you were down in the dumps." Rachel said walking with Chandler.
"I'm feeling better now. A good nap will do a lot."
"I'll see you in a few minutes." Rachel said stopping. Chandler turned to leave and she smacked him on the bottom.
"What was that about?" Chandler muttered as he walked out onto the street.
Chandler made his way into the crowded Central Perk. He spotted the gang in their usual little area. The small coffee house was more crowded than usual Chandler noted. But figures since the infux of business was due to the prank Joey pulled when he put up a sign bragging nude waitresses. Gunther was not amused, but he has not yet taken down the sign.
"Hey guys!" He shouted above the noise.
"Hey!" Joey shouted back. Ross was sitting next to Monica. "Its good to see you up and around. Youre just in time. Phoebe was gonna sing but she forgot her guitar."
"That never happens." Chandler observed.
"I know." Joey said. "Look behind you."
Chandler turned and did a double take. It was Suzie, the woman who pantsed him, and shirtsed him, in the bathroom of that restaurant around new years eve."
"Chandler!" She hugged him tightly, he could barely breathe. "I was so wrong about you. I shouldn't have done that nasty thing to you in the restuarant." She made a guilty face. "Can you forgive me?"
"Sure, uh...I guess so."
"Great!" Suzie zoomed in and kissed him on the lips.
"Hey!" They was a shout from the front of the coffee shop. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at the cause of the disturbance. Rachel was standing at the front door in a very slinky outfit. Ross mouthed the word wow. "Get your hands off my man!" Rachel said and came though the crowd.
"Whats happening?" Ross said.
"I have the feeling shes not talking about you." Monica said getting up.
Rachel draped her arm around Chandler. "In case you dont know, he belongs to me."
"Since when?" Suzie scoffed, not backing down.
"I'd like to know that too." Chandler said completely flustered with the situation.
"I don't have to tell you a thing." Rachel said. "He's with me and thats all that there is for you to know."
"I'll be back." Suzie said and walked out with her nose in the air.
Chandler took Rachels arm from around him. "Uh, Rachel, dear. What is going on?"
"Yeah," Ross said standing with Joey next to Chandler.
"I don't know." Rachel said. She took a deep breath. "Its like I was so physically drawn to Chandler that I cant control myself."
"You were never like that around me." Ross said disparingly.
"Well it happens...." Rachel suddenly jerked and kissed Chandler. She pulled herself away. "...like that."
"Oh my god." Joey said.
"How longs has this been going on?" Chandler asked while wiping lipstick off his mouth.
"I dont know. Ever since I slapped your butt I had this uncontrolable desire to be with you." Rachel pointed in back "Thats why everyone is staring at you now."
"Oh great." Chandler said. "I might as well not have a face even focuses on my backside."
"I think I know whats going on." Ross jerked Chandler by the hand. He dragged him outside where a group of five women squealed "Chandler!" And ran for him.
"Go to my apartment!" Chandler burst. "No one would be caught dead in the apartment."
Ross and Chandler bounded up the stairs and into the apartment just barely missing a horde of women grabbing for any part of him they could grab. And they werent picky either. Chandler was led to a window.
"You see that?" Ross pointed up.
"No." Chandler squinted. "Nothing besides that girl undressing next door." The window next door blinds shut. "Damn."
"No, that star right there." Ross poked Chandler. "That star is bigger than any other star in they sky. Do you know why that is?"
"I don't have a clue..and I thought you were a palentologist."
"I am, I watch a lot of the Learning Station at the mueseum."
"Whoo hoo, geek." Chandler smiled.
"This star appears once every fifty years and somehow it makes one guy of the human race more attractive than they would have been, say yesterday."
"So this is the nerd enhancement star." Chandler summed up. "It also made one of my best friends fall in love with me."
"Right. Now this will go away tomorrow. All we gotta do is keep you out of any females sight."
Chandler sat down. "Fine." He thought for a second. "What happened to the last sap this happened to?"
"He was eaten alive. Don't ask how."
"I won't." Chandler shuddered.
Later Chandler woke up and left Ross snoozing on the ground. He snuck out the door and headed down the stairs. He opened the door and looked around. Everything looked normal, if not a little cold out. Suddenly wishing he brought his jacket he turned and saw a woman.
"Hi there." Chandler said, grinningly sheepishly.
"Get lost." The woman rolled her eyes and walked away.
Chandler did a small victory dance and walked into Central Perk.
Who knows what really happened to Chandler, was it a dream or was it something involved in fate and circumstances, being at the right place at the right time. Or is it something deeper, something that also brings you that cup of mocachino in the twilight zone.
